Awards

Each year, CeNS awards prizes for excellent publications of CeNS members which have been published during the past 12 months. With this award, remarkably successful cooperation projects within CeNS as well as outstanding research of an individual research group of CeNS are distinguished.

The Nano Innovation Award honours outstanding, highly motivated students who performed excellent research in the framework of a Masters/Diploma or PhD thesis showing strong innovative ideas and pointing at potential industrial applications. The prize, establisged in 2015, is awarded annually by the CeNS spin-off companies attocube systems, ibidi, Nanion Technologies and NanoTemper Technologies.

In addition, the Center for NanoScience announces a limited number of Travel Awards for LMU CeNS associates. The travel awards can be used for active participation (talk or poster) in a scientific conference or workshop.
