DNAProtein Binding Force Chip

P. Severin, and H. Gaub -
Small, Vol. 8 (21), pp. 3269-3273 (2012)

The binding force chip (BiFo-Chip) allows the quantification of DNAprotein interactions. It employs arrays of molecular force probes. Each molecular force probe functions comparable to a balance, which is influenced by the binding of a protein to one of the two DNA duplexes. The BiFo-chip is easy to operate, requires only a quantitative fluorescence microscope and fulfills all essential criteria for high throughput screening.
