Exchange Programs

In addition to exchanges of individual students and researchers organized by the corresponding groups, CeNS is offering different exchange schemes for PhD researchers, Master and Bachelor students. Additional international exchange programs with other institutions in different countries are planned for the future. 

Junior Nanotech Network - An international PhD exchange program

The aim of the Junior Nanotech Network (JNN) is to exchange knowledge about world class nanoscience and nanobioscience between PhD students from different institutions worldwide. PhD exchange with the Bristol Centre for Functional Nanomaterials

In 2009, the Center for NanoScience (CeNS) set up a cooperation agreement for PhD students with the Doctoral Program of the Bristol Centre for Functional Nanomaterials (BCFN) at the University of Bristol. Based on this reciprocal exchange arrangement, each year, one to two doctoral students of each center spend 3 weeks in the labs of the respective partner institution to learn new research techniques and perform experiments. Student exchange with the Swiss Nanoscience Program in Basel

The Center for NanoScience (CeNS) and the Swiss Nanoscience Institute at the University of Basel (Switzerland) exchange Bachelor and Master students in the framework of an ERASMUS agreement. Interested students of Munich and Basel can spend between 3 to 6 months at the respective partner university, participating in the academic curriculum or writing their Master thesis in one of the research groups more...

Undergraduate student exchange with the City University of Hong Kong

In 2011, CeNS started a cooperation with the College of Science and Engineering at the City University of Hong Kong. In the framework of this program, interested undergraduate students can spend one semester in Hong Kong. All courses at the College are taught in English language. The selected candidates can apply for financial support via the PROSA program of LMU Munich. More information can be requested by email.
