MATLAB Crash Course
Data analysis and visualization is a very important task in everyday work for all of us. A powerful tool to deal with these tasks is MATLAB, a high-level programming language for numerical computing allowing fast and easy matrix manipulations, data visualization, implementation of algorithms and creation of graphical user interfaces.
However, starting out with MATLAB from scratch might be a rocky road. We thus would like to offer a hands on MATLAB crash course intended for MATLAB beginners without prior MATLAB knowledge.
Covered topics include:
- MATLAB Workspace and help
- working with variables, matrixes and arrays
- creating and using functions
- import/export and visualization of multidimensional data
- fitting of data to custom functions
- building GUIs
The course will be held in the CIP-Pool E0.048 at the Campus Großhadern on Tuesday 10.03.2009 from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm. Lunch and drinks will be sponsored by the IDK.
