Dynamics of synthetic gene circuits in bacteria (up to two positions)

Prof. Friedrich Simmel, Physics Department, Technische Universität München (TUM)

The applicant for this project should hold a master (or equivalent) in (bio-)physics, biochemistry, or biology with a strong quantitative/mathematical background. The project will be concerned with the characterization of the dynamics of genetically engineered bacteria ranging from the single cell to the population level. It will involve genetic engineering, fabrication of microfluidic devices, and computational modeling.
